Nineteen Years of Renée C. Gage Photography
5 Hours, 136 Portraits...A New RCG Record?
Back-to-school may look a little different this year, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be honoring traditions, capturing memories, and celebrating new adventures! Many schools have had to forgo traditional school portraits this year, so we were honored to be asked to do Fall Portraits for the students of Waynewood Elementary. It was a sunny, glorious day of socially-distanced sessions at a community park, and we had a blast! We captured 136 smiling faces in just four hours...a new RCG record? We think so! Following the event, we were able to donate 20% of photo sales back to the Waynewood PTA -- that's a total of $1,300 for our local PTA!
Fall Is For Family Minis!
The air is crisp, the sun is warm, leaves rustling on the ground...and the laughter of the kids outside...playing, riding bikes and truly embracing the day! It's time to shoot Fall Family Minis! Our Fall Minis are simple...20-minute sessions to capture all of your sweet fall moments. October Minis will be held on Saturday, October 24th. Follow us on Instagram @reneecgagephoto for info on time and place!
And Senior Sessions!
We have had such a blast capturing Senior portraits in downtown DC and Alexandria! Our 2021 grads are full of life, drive, creativity...they are going to change the world! And we love capturing that spirit on camera because Senior Photos are a chance for Seniors to show the world who they are!

Small Business Spotlight
We are obsessed with Mint & Ivy Gifting, Alexandria's cutest most thoughtful specialty gift box company. We had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with owner Abbey Bresset to shoot her fall product line, and we absolutely fell in love with every gift box she put together! It's sheer magic! She even offers a Nation's Capital gift box that features our Spirit Of Washington notecards!
We love love love supporting and learning from other small, women-owned businesses, so we sat down and asked Abbey a few questions about what makes her business her passion.
Shine bright,
